The Sennheiser Group generated turnover of €667.7 million in fiscal year 2017, which is €9.3 million, or 1.4 percent, more than in 2016. Earnings before taxes declined to €-4.5 million compared to €34.9 million in the previous year. This includes restructuring costs of around €21.6 million, which are reported in the expenses as one-time effects. Sennheiser further developed its organizational structure in 2017 to counteract the decline in earnings and secure long-term profitable growth, thereby positioning the family business successfully for the future. Accordingly, Sennheiser also increased its investments in research and development by 6.2 percent compared to the previous year to €57.8 million.

INFOCOMM 2018: RAISE YOUR MEETINGS TO A HIGHER LEVEL – SENNHEISER LAUNCHES TEAMCONNECT CEILING 2
At InfoComm 2018 (June 6-8 in Las Vegas), Sennheiser is previewing the next generation of its innovative ceiling microphone, TeamConnect Ceiling 2. The audio specialist’s new ceiling array microphone, available from Q4 2018, will offer superior audio quality for voice and video conferences thanks to its automatic adaptive beamforming technology. This automatically focuses on the voice of a speaker in the room ‑ regardless of their position ‑ to make productive meetings effortless. TeamConnect Ceiling 2 will offer even greater versatility and interoperability with support for Dante networks, including compatibility with Dante Domain Manager (DDM), and Power over Ethernet. It will be compatible with Sennheiser’s Control Cockpit software for efficient remote management, and offer remote configuration and monitoring via an open media control protocol (API), allowing for easy integration into media systems and camera control applications. For example, TeamConnect Ceiling 2 will be fully compatible with the Crestron control system platform.

SENNHEISER AND CRESTRON STRENGTHEN COOPERATION ON CONFERENCING SOLUTIONS
At InfoComm, audio specialist Sennheiser (InfoComm booth C1660), a member of Crestron’s Integrated Partner Program, announced that its new TeamConnect Ceiling 2 ceiling microphone will be fully compatible with Crestron’s control system platform. The announcement represents the continued collaboration between the two companies, simplifying integration and enhancing interface control possibilities for end-users.

SENNHEISER ANNOUNCES INTEGRATION OF DIGITAL 6000 IN YAMAHA CONSOLES
At InfoComm, Yamaha and Sennheiser have announced that the Sennheiser Digital 6000 microphone systems can be seamlessly integrated into Yamaha CL and QL series consoles with the upcoming Sennheiser and Yamaha firmware updates. These updates mean that Sennheiser’s EM 6000 and EM 6000 DANTE wireless receivers can be monitored directly from the consoles, allowing engineers to check parameters such as RF performance, link quality, audio level and battery status directly from the console as well as adjust certain parameters without the need for additional software or screens. This integration is already available for Soundcraft Vi000 consoles.

SENNHEISER WIRELESS NOW DANTE™ DDM READY
At InfoComm, Sennheiser has announced that its industry-standard wireless microphone systems such as the new evolution wireless G4, SpeechLine Digital Wireless, Digital 6000 and Digital 9000 are now compatible with Audinate’s Dante Domain Manager (DDM). The upgrade is provided free of charge via firmware updates to Sennheiser’s SL DI 4 XLR Dante interface, the EM 6000 DANTE microphone receiver and EM 9046 DAN Dante card for the Digital 9000 wireless microphone system.
